Kendra Sunderland was raised in Salem Oregon. Kendra graduated from West Salem High School June 2013.

She enrolled at Oregon State University, Corvallis in the fall 2013. She initially wanted to be a counselor and she took some classes in human development. She eventually lost interest in counseling and switched to economics and business classes with the intention of becoming an accountant.

She applied for about 12 waitressing jobs in Corvallis during her fall semester. However, she said that she didn’t get any calls back.
